Tracy Clemans, PsyD
Tracy Clemans, PsyD is a Training Specialist for the Center on Trauma and Children. Dr. Clemans completed her Masters of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. Dr. Clemans completed postgraduate training focused on the assessment and treatment of PTSD and complex trauma, insomnia, and suicidal behaviors of military personnel. Dr. Clemans completed her postdoctoral fellowship with the STRONG STAR PTSD Consortium where she was trained extensively in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD with active duty soldiers. Following this fellowship, Dr. Clemans managed a randomized controlled trial testing interventions for suicidal behaviors and spent several years researching risk factors, such as TBI and PTSD, and their impact on suicidality. Dr. Clemans received an annual Mission Award from Psychology Beyond Borders. Through this grant, Dr. Clemans conducted a pilot study in Phnom Penh, Cambodia that evaluated a modified version of CPT for the treatment of PTSD in adolescent survivors of child sexual exploitation.
