In order for the University of Kentucky to offer distance learning programs or courses outside of Kentucky, those programs and courses must be authorized by the state or country where students reside. This process is called State Authorization. In addition, distance education programs that lead to state licensure or certification are required to disclose whether their program will allow students who reside out-of-state to pursue licensure and certification in the student’s state of residence.

  • More information about state authorization and licensure compliance is available on the State Authorization Network site.
  • UK Program Information that has been identified for state authorization and licensure may be viewed on UK Online.
