Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue: Research in Populations with Impaired Decisional Capacity

Upon completion of the program, attendees will be able to: 1) Define population and disease conditions that predispose to potential decisional capacity concerns 2) Demonstrate the use of capacity evaluation tools in the setting of the research consent process 3) Evaluate research strategies that maximize conduct while ensuring human subject's protections in impaired populations.
