Membership Fee

The Fraternity & Sorority Life Office has been approved by the University Board of Trustees to implement a membership fee for all members of fraternities and sororities to help support the programs, activities, and resources provided by the office. Similar fees have been implemented at institutions such as Louisiana State University, Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Oregon.

This fee is $12.23 per semester, and will be collected on through each student's tuition statement beginning in the Fall 2017 term and remaining every semester that they are listed as a member of a fraternity or sorority at the University of Kentucky. This includes new and active members who are enrolled at the University of Kentucky, including those participating in study abroad and co-operative programs. 

This charge will be added to the student tuition statement based upon the membership rosters maintained by the Fraternity & Sorority Life Office. It is the responsibility of both the individual member to communicate with his or her chapter and the Fraternity & Sorority Life Office if their membership status changes. The fee will be charged if an individual is a member at any point during the semester.  Refunds are not given if a student member changes membership status during the semester.  Individual members can update their information with the form linked below.
