Civic Engagement Saturdays
Brought to you by the External Affairs Committee!
The Graduate Student Congress (GSC) at the University of Kentucky is starting a new series of events this year called “Civic Engagement Saturdays.” On the last Saturday of the month over the next three months, the GSC will invite prominent BIPOC (Black, Indigenious, & People of Color) politicians to campus to speak with all undergraduate students, graduate and professional students, and postdocs about recognizing yourself in politics, how to get involved in politics, and effecting change in your community. In an effort to amplify the voices of BIPOC students on campus, these interview conversations will be moderated by BIPOC student and postdoc leaders at UK.
