Toward the end of each Spring semester, the Graduate Student Congress (GSC) hosts an End-of-the-Year Gala/Dinner with the President to celebrate the GSC’s accomplishments over the past year and to honor those individuals who went above-and-beyond in helping the GSC pursue its mission and achieve its goals. Attendees enjoy a catered dinner with the President of the University of Kentucky (UK) while listening to the winning 3MT research and teaching presentations. The President of UK, the incoming and outgoing GSC Presidents, and an Advisor of the GSC, are also invited to speak at the Gala/Dinner, and the GSC bestows a few named awards and several pillar awards upon its members for their contributions.  

 

This year, this GSC plans to follow all Center for Disease Control (CDC) and UK COVID-19 guidelines, such as social distancing, contract tracing, etc. A mask will be required for entry into the event and testing or vaccination before the event is highly encouraged. Due to these restrictions, this year’s invited guest list will be limited to 40 people. However, even if you are not invited to attend in-person, the GSC will be recording and live-streaming this event on its Facebook page, and everyone is invited to tune in!
