UK’s Chimene Ntakarutimana Named Marshall Scholar

The University of Kentucky Office of Nationally Competitive Awards announced Monday that 2020 psychology, sociology and Lewis Honors College graduate Chimene Ntakarutimana has been named a 2021 Marshall Scholar. The scholarship will finance two years of graduate study for her at an institution of her choice in the United Kingdom.

18 UK Student Artists Take Honors at 2020 Carey Ellis Awards Ceremony

At the end of each fall semester, University of Kentucky School of Art and Visual Studies celebrates its best and brightest young artists as part of the Carey Ellis Juried Student Show and awards ceremony presented at the school’s annual visual art celebration, Open Studio. 'One Day for UK' Raises More Than $2 Million During 24 Hours of Giving

Donors contributed 3,539 gifts for a total of $2,644,378, including a $1.75 million transformative gift. This year’s digital giving day more than doubled the first year’s total. Gifts came in from 47 states and the areas receiving the most gifts in three categories (large unit, small unit and programs/centers) topped the “One Day for UK” leaderboards.

UK Senior Skyler Hornback Named Astronaut Scholar

University of Kentucky Office of Nationally Competitive Awards has announced chemical engineering senior and Lewis Honors College member Skyler Trenton Hornback is one of 2020’s 56 recipients to be awarded a scholarship of up to $15,000 from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. Established by the Mercury Astronauts, the foundation's goal is to aid the U.S. in retaining its world leadership in science and technology

Unveiling the History of Masks in Theatre
