Lewis Honors College Speaker Series
The Lewis Honors College Speaker Series is an endowed speaker series designed to better prepare the Lewis Honors College students for the challenges and opportunities of life by covering topics including self-awareness, personal values, character development, leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, financial literacy, career planning, success and happiness; and to educate the Lewis Honors College students regarding the American values of individual liberty, free enterprise, personal responsibility, faith, family, patriotism, intellectual diversity, community engagement and civic responsibility.
Each year, through its Lewis Honors College Speaker Series, the Lewis Honors College hosts multiple speakers on a range of topics to enrich the UK Honors experience. For the 2022-23 academic year, the Lewis Honors College Speaker Series will present speakers: Jesse LeBeau and Jonathan Webb.
On Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. in the Lewis Honors College Scholars Lounge, Jesse LeBeau will present, “The Attitude Advantage.” His talk will include emphasizing the importance of hard work and the keys to having a winning mentality, unbeatable confidence and self-esteem.
On Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. in the Lewis Honors College Scholars Lounge, Jonathan Webb, founder and CEO of AppHarvest, will present on how our students can live into our mission of finding their purpose and leading with integrity, while bettering the commonwealth of Kentucky.
On Wednesday, April 12 at 4 p.m. in the Lewis Honors College Scholars Lounge, the series will welcome Esau McCaulley, author and public theologian.
All Lewis Honors College Speaker Series events are open to the broader UK community. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are all welcome and encouraged to attend.
