Floral design will be explored as it is used in conjunction with life-cycle events. This will include weddings, funerals, holidays, celebratory banquets and other events. Students will utilize a variety of design styles, including pavé, vegetative, groupings, and parallel. Exotic floral and foliage materials will be used for at least one event. Diverse cultural practices pertaining to the use and meaning of flowers will be studied as well.
