DeBolt, Wheeler Project Funded

Dr. Jeff Wheeler

Drs. Seth DeBolt and Jeffery Wheeler (pictured here) of the UK Department of Horticulture, in collaboration with Dr. Christine A. Trinkle, an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering
in the UK College of Engineering, have been awarded funding for their Igniting Research Collaborations (IRC) pilot project entitled “Wine Microfluidics: Predictive Measurements of Wine Oxidation and Aging.” The project will be awarded $25,000 for a six-month project period. The IRC program fosters cross-college research collaborations through pilot funding. Faculty from all UK colleges are eligible to apply. Pilot projects must be a new collaboration of faculty from at least two colleges. The Trinkle, DeBolt and Wheeler project was one of 16 selected for funding from 69 proposals in 2018.
