Dr. Mark Williams became interim chair of the UK Department of Horticulture on July 1, 2018. Dr. Williams, who has been a faculty member in the department since 2001, developed and manages
the Organic Farming Unit at the UK Horticulture Research Farm, and led the development of the UK Sustainable Agriculture undergraduate degree program. Dr. Williams' research, teaching and extension efforts have covered a wide spectrum of horticulture production, from conventional to organic, and he has worked with a range of plants, from vegetables and fruit to ornamentals and trees.
