
UK Horticulture Professor Seth DeBolt is the principal investigator on a four-year, $6 million research project funded by the National Science Foundation. The project, which involves an interdisciplinary team of plant scientists, engineers and mathematicians at the University of Kentucky, Clemson University, and the University of Idaho, will involve studying stem lodging in corn and sorghum in order to breed stronger plants and avoid yield losses.
