The University of Kentucky Dining team is dedicated to delivering fresh ingredients, a variety of healthy and delicious meal options, and a superior level of service. Our guests and campus community always come first. We’ve kept what’s most important to our guests in mind, building convenience, flexibility, quality, value and healthy options on campus. Our diverse and convenient selection of dining venues provide a comfortable place to eat, study, relax and socialize.
Environmental sustainability and local sourcing are also fundamental parts of our mission to enrich and nourish lives. Together, our UK Dining Facilities use over 100 different locally sourced produce, meats, cheese and dairy products from producers, such as Weisenberger Mills and Marksbury Farm, from 24 different Kentucky counties. Through UK Dining Sustainability, our environmental platform, we place special emphasis on responsible sourcing, waste minimization, efficient operations, and community outreach.
We work tirelessly to accommodate students with dietary restrictions due to food allergies or intolerances. We recognize and accommodate these needs in a way that's personalized, sensitive and supportive. We have many practices in place to assist with a wide range of needs including but not limited to: Gluten Free, Common Allergens, Halal and Vegan/Vegetarian lifestyles. Both of our residential all-you-care-to-eat dining locations have specific areas called the "Worry Free Zone" for those with allergen intolerances. We also have an on Campus Dietitian who is a free resource for students to learn more about dining options that fit their individual needs.
Champions Kitchen is the newest all-you-care-to-eat dining experience on campus that offers a variety of dining concepts ranging from a Southwest Grill to Homestyle favorites. Champions Kitchen is more than just a dining hall, it is a place for people to come together, break bread and be a part of the campus community. So far, it has already hosted several high-profile events such as the Coach Cal radio show featuring men’s basketball coach John Calipari talking about the school’s nationally prominent program.
