Move-In Appointments

What is a “Move-In Appointment”?

It is a window of time for arriving at the unloading area during fall move-in. The purpose is to minimize traffic delays by scheduling student arrivals throughout the day.

Students can begin selecting Move-In Appointments on June 21. Appointments are available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on move-in day. Your appointment provides you a 30-minute window to unload your vehicle. A limited number of appointments are available for each timeslot, so selecting your appointment early is strongly encouraged. 

PLEASE NOTE: Only dates and times will be visible to you based on your residence hall, Living Learning Program and any other applicable group or organization.

How do students select a Move-In Appointment?

  1. Go to myUK
  2. Log in using your linkblue username and password
  3. Select Student Services
  4. Select My Info
  5. Select Campus Housing to be taken to the housing portal
  6. Select My Forms
  7. Complete required forms and select Move-In Appointment

 

Move-In Tips

  • Check your UKY email regularly for updates regarding your move-in day instructions.

  • Be sure to consult the What to Bring and What Not to Bring handout for suggested and prohibited items.

    • Bring TWIN Extra-Long linens for Baldwin, Donovan, Ingels, Johnson, Roselle, and Smith halls.

    • Bring FULL Extra-Long linens for Ball, Blazer, Boyd, Chellgren, Haggin, Holmes, Jewell, Lewis, UFlats, University Inn and Woodland Glen III, IV and V. Standard queen linens will also fit full extra-long beds. 

    • Do NOT bring a refrigerator, microwave, or other heating elements.

  • Communicate with your roommate to avoid bringing duplicate items

  • Pack items in plastic containers and bring a dolly or cart (a limited number of carts will be available to check out).

  • Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather (rain, hot weather, etc.).

  • Turn off your GPS and follow direction signs to your unloading area.
