When and where is UK HealthCare New Employee Orientation?
UK HealthCare New Employee Orientation is held bi-weekly on Mondays. It is located in the Pav A Auditorium in the Albert B. Chandler Hospital. For additional detailed information, check out the Orientation section of our web page.
What classes do you offer?
We offer a variety of classes. We typically offer technical training on the hospital computer systems, Leadership Development, Diversity Education, Professional Development, and Work-Life classes. Enterprise Learning also works in partnership with HR Training & Development. More training classes are available through HR T&D.
What order do I take APM (HQPM, SCM) classes in?
Check the Planning Guidelines under Technical Training section of our web page to find out what sequence classes must be taken and if there are any prerequisites for that class.
What are the hours of the Computer Lab?
The Computer Lab is typically open Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm.
Do you have A/V equipment available?
Classrooms A-D are equipped with projection and Zoom capabilities.
Do you have teleconference abilities?
Training rooms H31b and H31f have phone connections. The Learning Center can provide a phone with a speaker for conference calls. If you would like to set up a conference call with a Polycom soundstation, you will have to arrange the equipment to be brought in by Communications.
How far in advance can I book a room?
Our rooms are available to be booked on a quarterly schedule. For example, in December you may book rooms for January, February and March but you may not book for these months before December.
How often are New Leader Academy sessions offered?
The classes are offered quarterly for five days. Participants attend all five days simultaneously.
What programs are offered through Enterprise Learning?
We provide the New Leader Academy for all new and/or upcoming leaders, the Executive Leadership Program for identified hi-potential faculty and staff, the LEAD Program to develop existing managers and leaders, and the Talent Management Program to develop internal successors for mission critical roles. All programs, except New Leader Academy, are available via application annually.
I'm trying to enroll in a class through myUK online but it won't let me select the class that I want.
If the box is grayed out, it means that class is full and you cannot enroll in it. We leave classes on the web even if they are full so that if someone needs to see where a class is and what time it starts, it will still be available for that information.
