This course will provide Supervisors with an overview of the various divisions of Environmental Health and Safety. A member of the Environment Health and Safety division will review and explain to Supervisors their roles and responsibilities in relation to keeping their employees working in a safe environment. Included in this discussion will be topics such as what to do in the event of an emergency or accident, fundamentals needed in an evacuation plan, and wearing of personal protective gear.

During this workshop, we will undergo an examination of the University's Cash Operations. We will also discuss best practices and audit trends related to cash handling in departments and units at the University. After completing this training workshop, you will be able to:
Identify your departments role and responsibilities when it comes to handling and depositing cash
Recognize risks associated with cash handling
Discuss why it is important to have written cash handling procedures
Incorporate best practices and internal controls in the daily operation of your department
