Thank you for your interest in participating in our CSA promotion. All of our vouchers for the 2017 season have been claimed.
For a list of farms that offer CSAs in your area, please visit LocalHarvest.org. And don't forget to shop at your local farmers market!
UK Health & Wellness will offer a limited supply of vouchers* (available on a first come, first served basis) toward the cost of a CSA for the 2017 growing season. This benefit is offered to all UK employees on a UK health plan. Check back soon for details about how to purchase a CSA using a voucher.
What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?
CSA farmers offer a limited number of their produce "shares" for anyone in their local area to purchase in advance. When you purchase a share from a farm, you become a CSA member of that farm.
CSA membership typically includes:
- A box of local and organic vegetables (and occasionally fruits and other farm products) delivered weekly to your preferred pick-up location.
- Opportunities to get to know your local farmers and learn more about where your food comes from.
Tips and/or recipes for how to use the produce in your weekly shares.
UK employees on a UK health plan may claim a voucher* to receive:
- $100 off a small share or $200 off a regular share from the participating farm of your choice.
- An opportunity to attend a meet and greet event with participating CSA farmers.
Invitations to our Veg Out demo events to see how local chefs and dietitians use farm-fresh produce (and samples of their creations!).
