An on-campus child care center has spaces remaining for University of Kentucky employees looking for school-age options.
UK has partnered with the YMCA of Central Kentucky to open the Y Academy at UK. The Y Academy is available for school-age children from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is located at the corner of Nicholasville Road and Alumni Drive.
The Y Academy will open Wednesday, Aug. 26. It is open to all UK and UK HealthCare employees who are unable to work remotely.
The Y will gather information on student schedules and every effort will be made to support student needs, including NTI/2DL. For more program information, please contact Kathryn Cook at email@example.com
UK College of Education students who are studying to become teachers will work with students at the Y Academy, gaining valuable field experiences while responding to a community need.
The BELLXcel learning loss prevention program will also be available for those interested.
Child Care Assistance Program funds will be accepted. Financial assistance is also available for those who qualify. More information is available from the YMCA of Central Kentucky.
