Core Applications

Core Applications supports key administrative computing for the University.  Our primary focus is to operationally maintain and enhance the integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software - SAP. In addition, we are responsible for working with various operational units across the University to accomplish and further their goals and objectives. Because the core applications unit is grounded in developing and supporting the ERP, in addition to ITS staff, other members of are assigned from the major business units of the University.  Key functional areas of the core applications team include: student lifecycle management; financial services; human resources, payroll and training; facilities services; enterprise content management; workflow services; budget services; procurement services; and graduate school services.

Supports the functional operations of the University Budget Office focusing on effective and efficient processes related to the University’s administrative computing systems.

Facilities Services

Facilities Management utilizes the SAP Plant Maintenance module (PM) to manage, maintain and operate the physical assets of the university. PM provides the system for capturing and tracking work requests that are used to maintain all the buildings and equipment on campus. Financial Services

The Financial team within the division of EA is responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial data and information to appropriate individuals, performing University administrative functions with complete data integrity and without ambiguity. Our areas of responsibility include the development and maintenance of the Procurement Card, TRIP, and Cash Transmittals systems, Grants, Interface processes, and the specific support of all of the University Financial Services functions.

The Human Resource Services & Training team supports the functional operation of the SAP Human Resources module and its associated cloud applications to help accomplish the goals and objectives of UK Human Resources. We provide on-demand access to web-based and classroom training, as well as on-line access to time recording, benefit enrollment, and performance management tools through the myUK portal. Our team also maintains organizational, personnel, and payroll data for employees.

SLcM Services supports, maintains, and enhances the SAP Student Lifecycle Management module.  SLcM forms the foundation for critical processes of the student lifecycle, from admission to graduation and everything in between.  Key areas include:  the University’s academic structure, admission, event planning, course registration, student accounting, student financial aid integration, grading, academic progression, degree audit and graduation.  SLcM Services includes developers and functional analysts who collaborate and partner with University student and academic service units to deliver and support transformative and strategic solutions.
