LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 13, 2020) — University of Kentucky Information Technology Services (ITS) reminds students, faculty and staff bringing new devices on campus to update their trusted device for Two-Factor Log-In. New devices can be added as a trusted device in account manager (https://ukam.uky.edu) under the Two-Factor Log-In tab. Full instructions on how to enroll your new device and un-enroll your old device are in the Technology Help Center.
Since September of 2019, all individuals affiliated with the university have been required to use Two-Factor Log-In to access myUK. Two-Factor Log-In provides an additional method of verifying your identity when logging in. It requires two things: something you have (your phone or mobile device) and something you know (your password). Over time, the university will launch Two-Factor Log-In across other university portals and applications that students, faculty and staff utilize in an effort to increase security.
