Submit a Service Request

Do I contact UK Information Technology Services (ITS) or UK Physical Plant Division (PPD) to request an estimate?

1. For projects that include work beyond telephones, data outlets, and internet/networking, you will need to contact UK Physical Plant Division (PPD) using the web form on the myUK portal (or by phone at 257-3844 for campus and 323-6281 for HealthCare).  Examples include (but not limited to) drywall work, painting, furniture moves, electric receptacles, etc…  PPD will contact UK ITS if needed.

2. If a demolition or renovation is planned, you will need to contact UK Physical Plant Division (PPD) using the web form on the myUK portal (or by phone at 257-3844 for campus and 323-6281 for HealthCare). PPD will contact ITS if needed.

3. If (1) and (2) are not applicable and the request is for installation of wired network data/internet, wireless network, telephone, video/cable TV, network cabling, contact UK ITS (Service Request instructions below). Lead times and costs vary based on a variety of factors (e.g., external telecom vendors, circuit/fiber availability, wireless needs, security requirements).  Once order is processed, lead time for external telecom vendors can be up to 120 days.  ITS strives for accuracy in calculating equipment, material, and labor costs in estimates.   Under UK Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), ITS is required to charge actual costs, which may be more or less than stated on the ITS estimate.

To submit a Service Request:

  1. Log in to myUK.
  2. Click the "Enterprise Services" tab.
  3. Click the "IT Service Request" link.
  4. Click "Telephone and Network Service Requests".
  5. Choose one of the three options based on your required service needs:
    • Request service without an estimate
    • Request an estimate or consultation
    • Fund a completed estimate
