Health and Wellness
Q Card: University Health Service
University Health Service strives to provide high quality care to all UK students and employees in an inclusive environment. Toward this goal, UHS developed “Q Cards” that any student or employee can print, fill out, and take with them to their healthcare appointments. These cards provide an option for patients to clearly designate their name, pronouns, sexual orientation, and gender identity if they choose. You can find a copy of the UHS Cards here.
LGBTQ* Resources Financial Aid Liaison
The mission of the UK Office of Student Financial Aid (SFA) is to provide financial aid to students who would be unable to attend the University without such assistance. As part of this mission, SFA staff members are committed to inclusive service. In partnership with the Office of LGBTQ* Resources, SFA has designated a liaison for specialized student concerns, including changes in FAFSA dependency status. Students can connect with the SFA LGBTQ* Resources liaison, Robin Gray, directly by emailing rgray@uky.edu or by visiting LGBTQ* Resources for a referral.
Bias Incident Reporting
If you have experienced bias, harassment or threatening behavior based on an aspect of your identity, the University wants to provide support and resources to address the situation. The Office for Institutional Equity and Equal Opportunity is the entity through which incidents of identity-based violence and harassment can be reported, reviewed and appropriate action can be taken by the University. Filing a report will allow the University to respond to individual incidents and to examine trends and themes that need to be addressed. Click HERE to make an official report of bias to the University.
