We are so excited you are here! This academic year, 2022, the University of Kentucky Muslim Student Association is celebrating 50 years on the University of Kentucky Campus!

Events for Islamic Awareness Week

March 28th -- April 1st | Annual Islamic Awareness Week 2022

  • Monday March 28th -- Meet a Muslim | Tabling at Gatton Student Center | 9am-3pm Tuesday March 29th -- SAB's Middle Eastern, South Asian, North African Heritage Festival (MESANA)
  • Wednesday March 30th -- Halaqa Collaboration with the Martin Luther King Cultural Center | More Than Muslim | Gatton Student Center A230

  • Friday April 1st -- Interfaith Conversation with students from Islamic, Christian, and Jewish heritage. | 3-6pm Worsham Cinema

"The MSA at UK is committed to building an environment of brotherhood and sisterhood within the community. We are committed to creating a space on campus that teaches students how to become confident and conscientious individuals in a contemporary, pluralistic society. The MSA is open to people of any race, religion, and culture. As an organization, we aim to:

  1. Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to all.
  2. Promote friendly relations between Muslims and the community at large
  3. Promote unity and joint action among the Muslims
  4. Educate, mobilize, and coordinate students to struggle against injustice and oppression
  5. Conduct social, cultural, religious and other activities in the best traditions of Islam."
