Angela Clark DNP, RNC-OB, MSN
Dr. Angela Clark received her BSN in 2003 and her MSN in the Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist track in 2009 from the University of Kentucky. She received her DNP with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University in 2018. Dr. Clark has over 21 years of experience working in obstetrical care including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn nursery. She also currently practices as a staff nurse in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine group at Baptist Health Lexington.
Dr. Clark joined the College of Nursing faculty in August of 2022 as an Assistant Professor in the undergraduate program as the course coordinator for the Maternity and Reproductive Health courses. Previously she was a senior clinical faculty member in the School of Nursing at Eastern Kentucky University and taught for the ASN, traditional and accelerated BSN, RN-BSN, and DNP programs. Teaching experience also includes research for evidence-based nursing practice, DNP role transition, and health promotion. Dr. Clark uses her clinical expertise and teaching knowledge to help students learn how to critically think and apply knowledge to actual practice with the goal of making a positive difference in the lives of all people.
Dr. Clark has won awards for her work, including an Eastern Kentucky University’s Quality Enhancement Plan Critical Reading Teaching Award in 2022 and the Outstanding Discipline/Application Research Award at the Eastern Kentucky University College of Health Sciences Scholars Day in 2019. She has had the opportunity to present at local, state, and national events related to her clinical expertise and published scholarship.
Dr. Clark is a member of several nursing organizations including Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing, the American Association of Nurses, and the Kentucky Association of Nurses.
