Angie Hensley DNP, APRN
Dr. Angie Hensley received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University; an MSN from the University of Kentucky; and her DNP from the University of Cincinnati. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Dr. Hensley was an ICU nurse at UK HealthCare for 10 years. She was a liver transplant nurse practitioner at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Hensley is currently an associate professor and is the RN-BSN track coordinator. Dr. Hensley also teaches in the RN-BSN track. As an APRN, she practices in the UK HealthCare hepatology clinic. Dr. Hensley was awarded an EL II Grant for the 2016-2017 year. She received a Delta Psi faculty development grant in 2017, and a clinical excellence award in 2020.
Dr. Hensley's research focus is online engagement and satisfaction of nursing students. Her past works, published in peer-reviewed journals, have focused on online education. She also is the Principle Investigator for The King's Daughters and Sons Foundation Grant received in 2022.
