Curtina Kirkpatrick DNP, RN

Curtina Kirkpatrick received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Midway College and a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University with a specialization in healthcare administration. She received her DNP in nursing from Northern Kentucky University in 2019. Her dissertation focused on hospital throughput challenges and the formation and implementation of a discharge lounge in an effort to expedite the patient discharge process. Before becoming a faculty member in 2020, Kirkpatrick has held various clinical and administrative positions in the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She has been a cardio-thoracic surgical staff nurse, a patient transfer facilitator, a hospital supervisor, and a hospital operations administrator within the capacity command center. Her clinical expertise is in hospital administration and leadership.
