Amanda Lykins DNP, RN-BC
Amanda Lykins currently serves as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Behavioral Health at UK HealthCare. She has clinical experience in psychiatric-mental health nursing, perioperative nursing, nursing staff development and as adjunct clinical faculty. She has earned multiple degrees from Eastern Kentucky University; a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology in 2004, Associate Degree in Nursing in 2007, Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009, Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education in 2010, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a concentration in Organizational Leadership in 2016. Amanda is currently certified by the ANCC in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, a facilitator for the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, “Competency Based Training for Suicide Prevention: PMH Nurse Generalist” program and a certified instructor for “CPI: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention”. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, American Psychiatric Nurses Association and American Nurses Association. Amanda is a clinical instructor for the undergraduate Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing course, NUR 401.
