Gwen Moreland DNP, RN, NEA-BC

Gwen Moreland graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky. She received both her Master of Science degree in nursing and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky. She is a board certified Nurse Executive, and is certified through ANCC. Moreland is a member of the Association of Women’s Health Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International, Delta Psi Chapter, and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Dr. Moreland has been employed at UK Hospital since 1992 and has more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles such as patient care manager, nursing director and assistant chief nurse executive. She was appointed as chief nurse executive at UK HealthCare in September 2019.
