She has more than a decade of experience in research development, grant writing, project management, database development, data analysis, fiscal development and management, and research scholarship and dissemination. Andrea provides guidance for the Perinatal Research and Wellness Center’s mission to use translational research to inform women, providers and policymakers about current perinatal issues while empowering women to optimize maternal and child health through positive behavioral change. The center’s tailored programs help women holistically reduce modifiable risk behaviors (e.g. tobacco use and substance use) associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes, while also identifying early prenatal biomarkers of preterm birth.
