The University of Kentucky offers a number of resources for student financial aid. Visit the Student Financial Aid website for a complete guide to what's available and how to apply.
The UK College of Nursing offers several scholarships for undergraduate students.
The average scholarship award is $1,000-$2,000, and both the scholarships and amounts available to award vary from year to year.
Recipients are awarded for one academic year and disbursed in equal amounts in the fall and spring semesters unless otherwise stated in the award notification. If a recipient is graduating in Decemeber (at the end of the fall semester), the award will be for the fall semester only.
Most scholarships are renewable, provided the recipient continues to meet the terms of the scholarship and makes reasonable academic progress. View UK’s Reasonable Academic Progress Policy. Even if the scholarship is renewable, students must apply annually for continued support. Some scholarships have minimum GPA requirements. Any student who fails to maintain the minimum GPA will be ineligible to have the scholarship renewed.
Applicants must meet the minimum requirements for admission to the College of Nursing and be in good academic standing. Priority in awarding scholarship funds is given to those students who have high financial need.
Applications will be reviewed by the College of Nursing’s scholarship committee, who will then determine all scholarship awards. Applicants are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
