Primary Care

Primary care nurse practitioners provide health care for individuals with a variety of episodic and chronic health problems with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Track at UK offers two specialties: family nurse practitioner and adult nurse practitioner. Family nurse practitioners provide care to individuals throughout their whole lives, including women's childbearing years. Adult nurse practitioners provide care to individuals ages 13 and up.
