Data demonstrates differential impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health and livelihoods of African Americans/Blacks, rural populations, and individuals of low SES. Many of these populations are known to be have significant morbidities that render them at elevated risk of COVID-19. This project will collect survey data from 1,000 Appalachian and Central KY congregants. The survey explores their knowledge, attitudes and beliefs about COVID-19 and the impact of the pandemic on their chronic disease management, mental and spiritual health. It also explores the influencers of their prevention behavioral response to COVID-19.
