Jialin Wang, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM)
The University of Kentucky College of Nursing is pleased to welcome Jialin Wang from the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM) School of Nursing. Ms. Wang holds a Masters Degree in Nursing, and is currently a professor in the Nursing School of CDUTCM. Her research interests include nursing education, geriatric nursing, qualitative study and community nursing. Ms. Wang is working with Dr. Chizimuzo (Zim) Okoli and is looking forward to opportunities to (a) observe classroom and clinical instruction; (b) meet with faculty in gerontological nursing and other disciplines; (c) be actively involved in the Bridging Research Efforts and Advocacy Toward Healthy Environments (BREATHE) research program; and (d) guest lecture on Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches in nursing care patients.
Ms. Wang will be at the College through May 2019.
The College has hosted two scholars in addition to Ms. Wang in 2018. Dr. Joak Kim, Assistant Professor at Wonkwang Health Science University, Republic of Korea, was here for one month, working with Dr. Misook Chung. Dr. Huijuan He, Director of Fundamental Nursing at the Hubei traditional Chinese Medicine University, China, was here for six months, working with Dr. Chizimuzo (Zim) Okoli.
In 2017, the College and Dr. Misook Chung hosted Dr.Maria Liljeroos, PhD, RN, from Linköping University in Sweden. Dr. Liljeroos was here to collaborate on research focused on patient-caregiver dyads in cardiovascular disease and to develop manuscripts.
