Photo of UK's Main BuildingExecutive direction and management of the University of Kentucky's operations, both academic and fiscal, are carried out by the Board of Trustees and the President. As Chief Executive Officer of the University, the President is responsible for all official communication with the Board and external agencies. The President provides leadership on all policy, planning, and development functions of the institution.

Katie Hardwick, Administrative Staff Officer

Katie Hardwick joined the Office of the President in December 2017 and serves primarily as the liaison to the Board of Trustees.  A 1992 UK graduate with a BA in Fine Arts and Communications. Prior to working at her alma mater, she was the AVP of Programs & Events at Commerce Lexington Inc. 

 

 

 

 

Paige Noland, Administrative Assistant

Paige Noland joined the Office of the President in March of 2019, coming from the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment where she was the Executive Assistant to the Dean. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication from UK. Prior to working for UK, she was the Community Manager for Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society.

 

 

Reneé Smith, Executive Assistant to the President

Reneé Smith joined the Office of the President in June 2014.  Prior to UK, she held positions in Men’s Basketball at Western Kentucky University, the Office of the President at Kentucky State University, and the Governor’s Office for Local Development.  A native of Lexington, KY, Reneé attended Kentucky State University and Midway College.

Tiana joined the Office of the President in May 2018. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2019 with a B.A. in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and a B.A. in Political Science with a double major in Philosophy.
