Employee Parking Permit Application Information

Online permit registration has ended. Please go to our main office in the Press Avenue Garage (PS #6, 721 Press Avenue) if you need to apply for a parking permit.

Beginning on May 20, 2015, Parking and Transportation Services will accept employee and retiree parking permit renewal applications. Application information and eligibility criteria are listed below.

UK and BCTC employees may apply for permits online, as explained below, or by returning printable applications (found here (PDF)) by mail or in person. VA employees, as well as retirees, must apply by mail or in person.

Due to ongoing changes in credit card compliance standards, Veterans Affairs Medical Center employees and UK retirees may only apply for permits by mail or in person.

New this year, PTS is offering express pick-up for employees who order their permit online after noon on Monday, June 22. Employees who order their permits during this time period will only be able to utilize express pick-up and should plan accordingly. They should allow three business days for processing, and may pick up their permit at the PTS offices in the Press Avenue Garage (721 Press Avenue). Hours for permit pick-up will be 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Application Criteria

To apply for your employee permit online, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Your employment status must be regular full-time or regular half-time
  • All outstanding parking citations must be paid; citations may be paid online or in person at Parking and Transportation Services in the Press Avenue Garage (PS #6)
  • You have read and understand the UK Parking Regulations

Additional Information

You will need the following information to continue:

  • link blue or KCTCS login ID and password
  • Correct home or campus mailing address
  • Vehicle license plate number
  • Credit or debit card number, expiration date, and CVV code, unless you are using payroll deduction

Note: Eligible UK and BCTC employees using payroll deduction have the option to tax shelter the cost of their parking permit. If you are interested and would like to learn more, please read the pre-tax parking information. To register for the pre-tax deduction of permit fees, simply submit your online application and then you will be offered the option to enroll. The pre-tax option must be selected each year when you apply for your permit.

Note: Before starting the application, check your license plate number(s) to find out if you have any unpaid parking citations. If you have unpaid citations, please pay them immediately; otherwise, you may proceed to the application. Having unpaid citations will delay permit issuance until the citations are paid.

Important Note: Before parking permit applications can be approved, all outstanding citation and impoundment fines must be paid.
