Kidde Recalls to Replace Fire Extinguishers Due to Failure to Operate

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of Kidde brand fire extinguishers with plastic handles. These extinguishers were sold between January 1,1973 and August 15, 2017. There have been 134 models of the Kidde fire extinguishers manufactured during that time; the recalled extinguishers are red, white, silver and are either ABC or BC rated. These extinguishers have been reported to lose pressure and tail to operate, putting consumers in danger in the event of a fire emergency.
