Exploration of Mental Health of Female Farm Operators

The purpose of this study is to provide crucial information about the prevalence of depressive symptoms among female farm workers, their perceived levels of stress, coping mechanisms, and stressors they face in everyday lives. Specifically, the project will 1. Explore in-depth personal perspectives of farming and the stressors faced in the day to day lives of female farm operators, 2. Identify factors associated with depressive symptoms among female farm operators, and 3. Ascertain barriers to access of mental health among female farm operators.
