  • To calculate the value of your iPad visit the Depreciated Value Chart page.
  • If you withdraw or transfer from the University of Kentucky you have the option to purchase the iPad and all related accessories at its depreciated value to keep ownership.
  • After purchasing your device, we will remove the mobile device management system and you can continue to use your iPad as you would with any other of your personal devices.
  • It can take up to 7 business days weeks to remove the device management.  A customer support ticket will be opened on your behalf so you will be notified throughout the entire process.

Before returning your device, please remove any personal information. We will inventory your items and remove your user information from the device. You will receive an email to your UK email address once we have processed your return.

 

Mailing your technology - iPad Return Form Download

You may use any shipping carrier and packaging to return your iPad and accessories. Be sure to include the iPad Return Form with your device.

Removing The Device Management

  1. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version.
  2. Perform a backup to your computer or iCloud.
  3. Open iTunes on your computer if it is not open.
  4. Connect your iPad to your computer if it isn't already connected.
  5. Simultaneously depress the power button in the upper right-hand corner and the home button. 
  6. Continue holding down the power and home button until the recovery mode screen appears.
  7. Release the power and home buttons.
  8. An update/restore dialog displays in iTunes on your computer.
  9. Click Restore. A confirmation dialog displays.
  10. Click Restore and Update
  11. Your iPad will reset. The welcome screen displays when the reset completes.
