Career Programs

Students in SSSYour sophomore year at UK SSS is an exciting time.  You know your way around campus, you've met other students, and you understand the expectations of faculty.  It can also be challenging.  You might be uncertain about your major, career options and how you can best use your time outside of class.  You might also find yourself reflecting on your personal values and goals.  UK SSS offers programs and resources to help make your sophomore year a success:

Major Talk Series

Panels of advisors, professors, and community leaders that are in specific majors/careers come and speak to students on the opportunities and majors that lead him/her to that career path. It is also a time for students to ask questions in exploration of possible careers. These panels meet twice a semester covering majors in the health field, engineering, Social Work, Education, Communication, and other career paths. If you are interested in attending these discussions, please email the SSS Learning Specialist at
