College Students

Become a Peer Educator

Do you have a passion for helping students reach their personal and professional goals? Are you interested in learning more about the Appreciate Coaching Model and Three Levels of Listening? Would you like to join a community of Peer Educators who are committed to inspiring student success in STEM?

Undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Kentucky can participate in the START Program by serving as Peer Educators. START Peer Educators will receive professional development through specially designed trainings on how to motivate students to succeed in STEM and act as mentors on the college experience. The Peer Educator Training Program is accredited and those who complete the training will earn a certification. In addition, the START Program offers college student participants access to networking opportunities. Students do not need STEM majors or previous STEM coursework to participate!
