Welcome New Families
The Parent and Family Association would like to welcome all the families of our incoming students to the Wildcat family! We know that the word unprecedented has been overused in the past few months, but it best describes the situation we find ourselves in. We know that 2020 will not look like any semester we have ever seen. However, the university is committed to keeping everyone informed as plans develop for the fall. With that in mind, we have put together a list of resources that may be helpful to you as you are preparing your student to attend UK this fall.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact email@example.com and our staff would be happy to assist you.

Housing and Dining
Meal Plans - It's time for students to select an appropriate meal plan for fall 2020. For information about the different meal plan options, visit uky.campusdish.com/MealPlans. To select a meal plan, students should:
- Use the "Buy on UKY Portal" option from CampusDish and log in as prompted with their linkblue.
- Select Student Services
- Select My Info
- Select Undergraduate Housing (this will take them into the Campus Housing portal)
- Select their completed Undergraduate Application then Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.
- Across the top, there should be small tabs - select the tab that says Dining Plan.
- There should be a drop-down list with their options which will allow them to select a plan.
If students have additional questions about meal plans, please contact UK Dining at ContactUKDining@lsv.uky.edu.
Dining Facilities Schedule - Champions Kitchen and The 90 will be accepting meal swipes beginning August 8, so your student will be able to eat as soon as they move in. To access a complete dining schedule, visit https://uky.campusdish.com/LocationsAndMenus.
Move-in Day Parking - Students and families will be able to park on campus in designated areas during move-in. More information about hall code cards and move-in parking is available at www.uky.edu/housing/fall-move-in-2020.
Health Fee and Coverage - The health fee is one of the mandatory fees assessed to the full-time undergraduate and graduate students during the fall and spring semesters. Learn more about services covered with the health fee at https://ukhealthcare.uky.edu/university-health-service/student-health/services/health-fee.
Immunizations and Vaccinations - It is recommended that students upload immunization records via the patient portal once a linkblue ID is received. UK requires a meningitis vaccine for incoming freshmen living on campus. Learn more at https://ukhealthcare.uky.edu/university-health-service/student-health/vaccinations.
Parent and Family K Week Events - Parents and families have always been an important part of the K Week experience on campus, and while this year is no different, the nature of the participation will shift online beyond residence hall move-in due to COVID-19 and the need for social distancing. Families will not be able to attend K Week events in person but are invited to support their new Wildcat in a number of different ways. Learn more at www.uky.edu/studentservices/KWeek/parents-and-families.
