About UK 101/201

The mission of the UK 101 and UK 201 courses is to help new students transition to university life, build a strong foundation of academic success, embrace opportunities to promote intellectual and personal growth, and foster a sense of belonging and community.

More specifically, both UK 101 and UK 201 strive to connect students with other students in a small-group setting; build student rapport with a faculty/staff instructor and peer instructor; connect students with academic opportunities and resources; promote student wellness and safety; increase student understanding of university expectations; equip students with learning strategies for academic success; and engage students in the curricular and co-curricular life of the university.
