Nancy is part of Student Transitions and Family Programs' leadership team and supports the first-year student and family experience at UK. She works closely with the First-Year Experience team on programs such as the K Week fall welcome week, the UK 101/201 academic orientation course, and the Parent and Family Association. Nancy also coordinates communication efforts for Student Transitions and Family Programs.
In addition to her work with Student Transitions and Family Programs, she teaches a section of UK 101 each fall and serves on a number of campus committees related to first-year student success and communication.
Nancy is a proud member of AHEPPP, the Association of Higher Education Parent/Family Program Professionals, and NODA, the association for orientation, transition, and retention in higher education. She is a former two-term member of the AHEPPP national board of directors.
Nancy is from Lexington, KY. In her spare time, Nancy’s husband and two boys keep her busy with activities. They love traveling, especially to New Orleans, and cheering on the Cats.
