Lexington Environmental Youth Outreach is seeking mentors!

Lexington Environmental Youth Outreach (LEYO) is an organization at the University of Kentucky that seeks to bridge the environmental education/experience divide that currently exists in our schools and our society. We recognize that environmental risks and hazards are not uniformly distributed among society, and we can make a difference in addressing this injustice even in our Lexington community! Through mentorship, engaging curriculum, and field trips, college mentors will teach elementary-age students about the environment and their connection to it, while also providing field trip and immersive opportunities. We are currently recruiting mentors for the 2020-21 school year. This year will be unique, as there will be many opportunities to design curriculum, take on leadership roles, and make decisions which will have a long-lasting impact on LEYO in the future! If you are interested in joining, please fill out this google form and we will be in contact via email soon!
