Common Hour Review (CHR) sessions are large group tutoring sessions facilitated by peer tutors, and are offered for many of the most highly trafficked courses for which The Study offers tutoring. The Study works with current course faculty to prepare practice problems that are representative of what students can expect to see on the exam. Peer tutors use these practice problems to guide students through exam concepts and will also address any specific questions students may have about topics on the exam as well as best ways to prepare.
CHR sessions are held one to two nights prior to the course(s) exam date in room 203 at The 90 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Tutors will lead three, one-hour reviews, each starting at the top of the hour. For a complete schedule of CHR for the current semester click HERE.
CHR sessions are VERY popular and seating is limited. Plan on arriving early! If you do not get a seat in the first session you can always return in an hour for the next session.
The Study has found students who attend both drop-in tutoring as well as CHR sessions, on average, do better in their course than those who attend only CHR session(s). Therefore, we strongly encourage students to also access free drop-in peer tutoring early and often!
