The Peer Tutoring Program offers FREE, drop-in, tutoring for many University of Kentucky (UK) core courses in math, science, & business. Offering proactive assistance, the goal of the Peer Tutoring Program is to enhance students' academic experience as early and as often as possible. The Peer Tutoring Program provides a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for students to drop in, as they wish, to seek help on homework or exam prep, or simply to study within a group environment.
Peer Tutoring is offered at three convenient locations on campus: The Study Central on the garden level of Donovan Hall (entrance is diagonal from K-Lair); The Study North on the bottom floor of Jewell Hall (residence hall across from the Student Center); and The Study South in the large classroom of Woodland Glen III (entrance is through the courtyard).
The Study Central operates Monday - Thursday 4:00-10:00 p.m.; The Study North operates Monday - Thursday 2:00-10:00 p.m. and Sunday 4:00-10:00 p.m.; The Study South operates Sunday, Monday, & Wednesday 4:00-10:00 p.m. However, specific course tutoring hours may vary.
Peer Tutors at The Study are nationally certified, well-trained undergraduate students who have successfully completed the course for which they tutor here at UK. This makes them a great resource for questions about a professor or course format in addition to questions pertaining to the subject.
Can't find tutoring for the course you're looking for? The Peer Tutoring Program makes decisions about which courses to provide tutoring for based on student demand. If we're not currently providing tutoring in a course you'd like help in, let us know by completing the form here and encourage classmates, who also want tutoring in this course, to do the same.
