Spring Semester Student Permit Sales Now Open
University of Kentucky Transportation Services is now offering student spring semester permits for sale online at www.uky.edu/transportation. Students may also purchase permits in person at the Transportation Services office, located in the Press Avenue Garage, at the corner of Press and Virginia Avenues, starting today.
UK students seeking periphery (K), remote (X) and off-peak (O) permits for the 2018 spring semester may apply online at www.uky.edu/transportation. In addition, Transportation Services is also accepting applications for Graduate/Family on-campus residents living in Greg Page, Shawneetown or the Seminary area (R19, R29 and R30) at this time.
Bluegrass Community and Technical College students who park at the Cooper campus may also apply online for C-BCTC and off-peak permits.
The cut-off date for online permit application is Thursday, Jan. 11, 2017. Online orders placed on or after Tuesday, Jan. 2 must be picked up in person at Transportation Services at the Express Pickup window, located in the foyer of the Transportation Services office.
All outstanding parking citations must be paid before an application is accepted. Citations may be paid online at www.uky.edu/transportation/online-services_pay-a-citation.
The Kroger Field Red and Blue periphery (K) lots, as well as the periphery overflow parking areas (Greg Page Overflow and the Soccer/Softball lots) will not be controlled for permits during the semester break, beginning Saturday, Dec. 17. These lots will return to normal control on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018. For a list of dates when other lots resume control, visit the Student Permits Calendar.
Eligible students who do not have a parking permit or who want to upgrade from a K permit may submit a lottery request online for C and R permits through the Customer Account Manager. Eligibility criteria must be met to purchase the desired permit. Drawings are typically held two to three weeks after the beginning of the semester; notification is sent to lottery winners via email.
Off-peak (O) and remote (X) permits are $74, while spring semester periphery (K) permits are $136 and spring semester C-BCTC permits are $148.
Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours, 7 days a week.
