Events scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26, and Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Gatton Student Center will bring attendees to north campus and impact parking availability on those days.

The UK Food Connection is hosting the Kentucky Local Food Systems Summit on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Approximately 200 people are expected for this event, which is being held in partnership with Bluegrass Farm to Table and Kentucky Proud.

Fifty (50) spaces in the Memorial Coliseum Lot and the entire Gatton Student Center Visitor Lot will be reserved for attendees. The South Limestone Garage (PS #5) is also expected to be impacted.

The same parking arrangements will be in effect on Thursday, Feb. 27, for the James B. Beam Institute Industry Conference. Approximately 500 people are expected to arrive throughout the day for this event.

Impacted university employees may choose to park in other employee intermediate lots in the north campus area, including:

  • King Alumni Lots North & South, located off Linden Walk
  • Linden Walk Lot
  • Schmidt Lot, with an entrance off Rose Lane
  • Stuckert Career Center Lot
  • Scott Street area lots, including Scott Street, Taylor-Dickey, Reynolds, and Comers lots
