South Limestone Lane Closures to Begin Next Week
South Limestone will be reduced to two lanes just south of Winslow and Avenue of Champions beginning next week, to allow for the installation of an underground electrical distribution duct bank.
The lane closures will float and are expected to be in effect for two weeks, depending upon weather conditions. Two lanes will be kept open at all times, with work scheduled to take place daily between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The lanes will be plated and reopened after 3 p.m.
This project is associated with the South Limestone Garage (PS #5) expansion project and will relocate overhead electrical lines underground. Similar work is nearly complete on Winslow, and that street is expected to reopen early next week.
Campus bus service may also be affected during this period, as the Blue Route travels northbound on South Limestone and may experience impacts to service frequencies. Riders should expect a slight delay due to the lane closures.
Please allow extra time for your commute and exercise caution as you navigate the area.
