Veterans Drive will be closed to thru traffic and parking between Complex and Hospital drives beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, February 5, through Sunday, February 7. This closure will affect nine ADA spaces in that area.

The road closure is necessary to install a crane to remove demolished cooling towers and pipes at UK Cooling Plant #1. Veteran's Drive loop will remain open during this time. Additional ADA-accessible parking is available in the Orange Lot immediately adjacent to the bus shelter.

The work is weather-dependent, but is expected to be complete by Sunday evening. This section of the roadway is scheduled to reopen to traffic and parking by 5 a.m. on Monday, February 8.
